SCLGA County Coach Appointed

Jack Budgen  - Sussex Ladies Coach

The SCLGA are pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Budgen as the Sussex Ladies Coach. Jack has over fifteen years’ experience as a AT PGA Professional. His current role is PGA Teaching Professional at East Sussex National. 

Jack has had a long and successful affiliation with Sussex County Golf. He represented Sussex at Boys, Youth and Men’s level simultaneously for multiple years and then represented England at Under-16 and Under-18 level.  He was also Sussex Boys Champion in 2000, Sussex Amateur Champion in 2003 and Sussex Player of the Year in 2005. He is extremely passionate about the success of Sussex County Golf and his dedication to seeing Sussex County players improve and win, knows no bounds. 

He was Sussex Under-14 County Coach between 2008-12. During his time coaching the Sussex Under-14’s it included assisting world renowned teacher David Leadbetter with coaching the Sussex Under-18 squad for two years in a row at East Sussex National.

Jack will be hosting coaching sessions at East Sussex National, with use of two championship golf courses, covered range facilities and grass tees, indoor coaching studio and short game areas. 

Sara Whittaker who is also new to the Player Development role is excited to be working with Jack developing potential for the 2’s team, integrating juniors and bringing together the 1st team.
