Junior County Match Week 2025

SCLGA and Worthing Golf Club are delighted to host the annual Inter County Junior Match Week Club this year.
Five Counties (Hampshire, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex) in England Golf’s designated South Region compete for two trophies during the event – Singles Match Play and Foursomes Stableford.

The singles matches will take place on the Colt course. Each County plays each of the other Counties. Seven girls are selected from each nominated team – 28 singles matches per County. Play is in strict Course HCP order. Scoring is 1 point for a WIN, 0.5 for a draw and 0 for a loss. No match goes beyond the 18th hole.

Eight girls from each County’s nominated team play foursomes stableford on the Vardon course. The best 3 scores of 4 are added together to deliver the winner of the Stableford Foursomes trophy.

Supporters and Spectators

Spectators are very welcome to come to support ‘their’ team. If you are coming from Sussex then try to wear yellow so our team know you are there rooting for them.

Please be aware of the guidelines for spectator behaviour which includes the following:- YOU MUST NOT walk on any fairways or greens, YOU MUST keep to at least a 25 yd distance from players and YOU MUST NOT talk to any competitor. Any breach of these rules will be dealt with by the Competitions Committee. Persistent concerns or breaches may result in the spectator being asked to leave the event if it is considered detrimental to the welfare of any of our young players.
