Coaching Programme

There are coaching opportunities for all abilities of girls throughout Sussex funded by SCLGA and England Golf. Our aim is to:

• Promote and encourage play at all levels.
• Identify and nurture talent.
• Develop performance golfers and select teams to represent the county.

The County Pathway is designed to support girls at the very start of their golf journey through to representing Sussex at County level and beyond.

We have an extensive Coaching Programme and progression plan which invests in improving the standard of golf for players of all ages and skills levels. Coaching takes place throughout the year and at various locations around the County.  It is fabulous to have the Junior Pathway in place, allowing girls to come through the system of GGR, participation and academy level coaching. This allows them the possibility of transitioning smoothly into County Elite squad.

2024 Junior Coaching Programme

Coaching sessions typically begin when the weather is better and is located at a variety of Golf Clubs including Chartham Park, Cottesmore (with Calum Callan) , Dale Hill (with John Tolliday) and Rustington.
Particiption sessions – the entry level programme – take place at Cottesmore, Dale Hill and Rustington. Academy level sessions run at Chartham Park with Ben Knight.
Team Sussex – the performance squad – sessions take place at a variety of Clubs and is led by Lead County Coach Rob Chruszcz.
